Manufacture Warranty


Lock X Smart provides a one-year limited manufacturer warranty on all smart lock products, beginning from the original date of purchase. This warranty covers:

Coverage
  • Mechanical defects in the lock’s hardware components.
  • Manufacturer-related faults that affect the performance or normal operation of the lock.
  • Defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.
What is Not Covered
  • Improper installation, incorrect setup, or installation damage.
  • Normal wear and tear, scratches, or cosmetic damage.
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, abuse, or environmental conditions (including water damage unless the product is explicitly rated for outdoor/waterproof use).
  • Battery replacement or power-related issues due to drained or improperly installed batteries.
  • Unauthorized modifications, tampering, or repairs performed by anyone other than Lock X Smart or an authorized service provider.

Customer Responsibility
  • The customer is solely responsible for ensuring proper installation according to the provided instructions.
  • Any damages caused by improper installation, forced entry, or use outside the intended purpose will void this warranty.
Warranty Claims Process
  • To submit a claim, customers must provide proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation).
  • Lock X Smart may request photo or video evidence of the defect or issue.
  • If required, the defective product must be shipped back to Lock X Smart for inspection.
  • Upon verification, Lock X Smart will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective hardware with a new or refurbished unit at no additional cost.

Limitations of Liability
  • Lock X Smart’s liability is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective hardware as described above. In no event shall Lock X Smart be liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including costs associated with removal, reinstallation, or loss of use.

Additional Notes
  • Lock-X-Smart reserves the right to refuse a refund or replacement if the above conditions are not met.
  • Customers are responsible for proper handling and installation of the product to avoid issues.
